LMA AWARDS TEAM INTERVIEWED AYOOLUWA OLUWATOSIN LOVELYN. CEO AND INITIATOR OF ORNASVIEW ENTERPRISE, A SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR, WRITER, RED CARPET PRESENTER, AND TEENSPRENEUR.

Ayooluwa Oluwatosin Lovelyn. Pen name ( ORNAS). A graduate of Tai Solarin University of Education, an  indigene of Ikoya Ondo state.  Ayooluwa oluwatosin is a Social Entrepreneur,  Public Speaker, Writer, Red carpet presenter, Career Consultant, Teens coach/Counselor, Teenspreneur as well as Nation builder. She is a member of yalinetwork and a protegee of Fela Durotoye network and also Alumni of Leadership Quarters and MOGI business school. I am the CEO and Initiator of Ornasview Enterprise, a platform we use to help teenagers learn skills that they can market.

Ayooluwa is the initiator of career club where heroes are being trained on Public speaking, content writing, music and Acting. She is the Author of “the Risen Hero”. She is the convener of “success or failure :the choice is yours part 1,2,&3” , “what next after school” , “Save a soul : suicide is not an option”, and “Ikoya youth empowerment Training” she seize every opportunity and turns vision /dreams to mind blowing outcomes.

My vision is to build heroes one step at a time. I am from Ondo state. I grew up with my maternal grandmother in Anambra state where I completed my primary school education. I went back to my parents in Lagos to further my secondary school education. I am inspired to build heroes because someone built me and decided to give me a chance to be a better version of myself. I decided to focus on the teenagers because I want to catch them young. While I was Seeking for admission, I indulged in Tutorial teaching which also includes private teaching to keep myself busy and also earn money to carter for myself and my family.

I discovered myself early enough but I lacked direction and Tenacity of purpose until 2016 when I came across my pathfinder, Mr Ben Williams. I have always wanted to do something worthwhile and give back to the society but the vision was blur. While as an undergraduate, I tried different career such as media personnel, Fashion model etc but none was satisfying and filling that vacuum. My career lader evolved when I competed at Nigerian Shift 2016, an initiative of Redeem Christian Church of where I participated as a public speaker. Although I didn’t get to the finals, but I decided to birth a purpose and thrive in it and my public speaking career started. Which led to the birth of my Organization “Ornasview initiative “

Ornasview Initiative started twelve years ago, back then I didn’t know what I was doing, all I knew was that I wanted to help people around me become better. That time when there was nothing and we had to live in a rented room apartment nowadays known as “face me, I face you”.  I would gather the children in my compound and neighbors across, I employed teachers whom I didn’t even pay. We had all the classes with the children and at end of the term I organized a party for them. The teachers and I would go from house to house seeking for support and sponsorships to support the children. There were children who couldn’t afford their school fees but never stopped learning because I was always there to teach them without collecting any money. I didn’t know I was preparing for my today. On March 31, 2017, Ornasview Initiative became official and has grown to be a hub where teenagers can acquire skills through our various vocational training programmes.

One of my major challenges is getting people to understand how heavy my pregnancy is and how urgent I crave to deliver! Financial support has been one of the challenges the initiative is currently facing. Another challenge is rejection of proposal. It’s quite unfair when school administrators believe that it’s only education that would make the world a better place! When I couldn’t go to school, I was giving back to the society. But God had never stopped sending me Angels in human form, my dad who is the patron of Ornasview Initiative has been supporting our projects and events 89% financially.

When I look at the mirror, I see a great African woman who has chosen the path of selfless service, I am sure that Africa is blessed with energetic  youth. Sooner or later, African youth would be taking lead in the world affairs, only if the youth would wake up and grab every opportunity that is open to self-development. One of my goal is to build as many heroes I can build across the world, partnership and sponsorship has been quite challenging. I have applied for grants and even engaged in competition just to see this goal been achieved.

To me, leadership is a selfless journey only for those ready to serve. Leaders make time to dream, think big and then set goals to get there. They have a sense of urgency and innate understanding that time is limited and therefore act accordingly.

My philosophy in life is :

(1)Get a degree and in the process discover yourself.

(2)Monetize your talent and your message.

(3)Give back to the society and invest in future prospects.

(4)Stop being an ‘Ideapreneur’ and be an ‘action taker’ because most of us have great ideas but have decided to be married to procrastination.

(5)There is no short cut to success.

(6) Entrepreneurship is the catalyst that can drive a reduction in unemployment.

I want to encourage the youth to stop being an IDEAPRENUR and be an ACTION TAKER. most of us have great ideas but have decided to be married to procrastination.
